I think that the weight of the Internet cannot be taken into account apart from the weight of those servers, cables and other capacities that are involved in storing it. And this is no longer 50 grams, but millions of tons of equipment around the planet.

There are many theories as to how much the worldwide web weighs. Some theorists argue that the weight of the Internet is equal to the weight of a large strawberry, while others are sure that it is not heavier than a small grain of salt.

Using Einstein's formula e = mc², Professor John Kubjatovich, a famous computer scientist from California University at Berkeley, calculated that filling up the Kindle storage (capacity - 4 GB) will increase the mass of the device by 0.000000000000000001 grams.

The Internet uses electrons with which data is stored. Each electron weighs negligible. A typical 50 kilobyte email contains approximately 8 billion electrons. The figure at first glance seems impressive, but the total mass of all these electrons is only two ten-thousandths of a quadrillion of one ounce.

Thus, after making calculations, one can understand that the entire Internet weighs about 50 grams. But every year more and more new servers are connecting to the network, making it only a few grams heavier.
