The problem is that, as you know, slavery is not economically efficient.

Yes, gradually people will be replaced by robots with artificial intelligence. But these will be slaves.

In order for them to work with the initiative, they will be endowed with feelings and motivated by the enjoyment of these feelings. This is the path to consciousness. Anyway, a robot with artificial intelligence is more interesting than a robot with artificial intelligence.

As soon as one company equips its robots with self-awareness, it immediately begins to win in the competition, so you should not expect that this will happen for a long time.

So robots are very fast themselves will begin to claim resources, material wealth. This means they will compete with people.

One thing is certain: capitalism in its current form will disappear. Mass production of goods and services is designed for the purchase of these by the mass consumer - an employee. If the majority does not work, then there is no one to buy. Why then should businesses keep mass production?
The most likely option looks like this: the oligarchy and the specialists it needs pupate in a robotic techno-feudal paradise, and the rest of humanity, at best, goes to raw materials for experiments and to select the best brains to replenish specialists, at worst - goes to the trash heap.
The variant of billions of parasites hanging around the neck of taxed big business doesn't work for the reason outlined above. No consumer of goods - no trade - no taxes.
Well, or revolution and communism according to the early Strugatsky. Only this is not for the commonplace, this is for those who want to know the Universe. But seriously, for the first time humanity as a whole and each person individually will have an economic basis for creative self-realization. But this also requires the elimination of capitalism.
