No.

Even the release of the first iPhone could not be called that.

Yes, this is an achievement in the world of UX, but not an invention. Just finding an easy-to-use form for long-standing technologies.

Can the next iPhone be called technical progress?

No, you can't. There is no technical progress there, as it is not found in any other smartphone. You can increase the frequency of the processor, the number of cores, the size of the RAM, the diagonal of the screen as much as you like, but everything rests on the battery. To solve this problem, no one has come up with anything adequate yet.

Of course, the aura of a premium product around the company remains, not least due to the price, but we no longer have any fateful, ideological changes we see.

The iPhone (which costs the same as the Samsung Galaxy S8) is a "premium" product in Russia, because it costs two average salaries. In the US, no iPhone, no Starbucks, no Levays, no Nike are premium, just like in most of Europe.

It seems to me that for several years Apple has been living off its loyal fans and a harmonious ecosystem. Of course, the aura of a premium product around the company remains, not least due to the price, but we no longer see any fateful, ideological changes.

Honestly. In addition to the iPhone (I have 6, I still don't see any reason to change it until the OS slows down), I am the owner of a Samsung S8 +. And I don’t see what it was that Apple showed beautiful to surpass this phone. Wireless charger? There is. Big good screen? There is. Water resistant? There is. What then? Even unlocking a new iPhone is very much like unlocking from Samsung: swipe up and look at the camera. Only Samsung scans the eyes, and Apple scans the whole face. Camera? I don't know yet, don't compare. Maybe.

So, of course, this is progress for Apple, but for the whole world ... They are already in the position of catching up, in my opinion. I don't see magic.

P.S. And if you expand the video to full screen on the iPhone X, then part of the video is cut off with a ledge with sensors. What?! Seriously? !!
