Nebulae and galaxies are gigantic, the alpha centauri system is small and the planet and stars and stars in that system are even smaller, the hubble telescope has a resolution of 0.05 arc seconds, and to see a planet in alpha centaurus about the size of the earth at least as a point but non-diffractive (we see stars with the eye in the form of diffraction disks that are much larger than the actual disk), a telescope with a resolution 1000 times higher than that of the hubble would be needed (the diameter of the mirror is from 3 km in short).

The point is in the angular dimensions of the objects of interest in the sky.
Nebulae and galaxies are much larger, take up more space, and therefore it is easier to photograph them.
