Everything was said before me, but I would like to add something else.

In December 2013, in a UNESCO statement on the occasion of awarding Jimmy Wales, the founder of Wikipedia, the Niels Bohr Gold Medal, Wikipedia was said that it is " a symbol of the era of interaction in which we live, and it is not just a tool, it is the embodiment of a dream as old as human intelligence and the collections of the Library of Alexandria "

This is a truly unique project that should be free from any financial obligations to someone).

I don't like the wording "got it". Wikipedia is a wonderful creation, valuable, needed and actively supported by the society.

If Wikipedia were a paid encyclopedia (paid site), you would be okay with that, right? And if Wikipedia wants to be free, but allows the users themselves (and not outside businessmen) to pay for its continued existence - this means "got it"?
