In my opinion, because it is absolutely senseless from the point of view of common sense, and economically disadvantageous. Firstly, in order to put any type of civil passenger aircraft on the line, it is necessary that all airports that will receive it have the ability to receive it and ground handling. This is especially true for the largest types (A380, B747, 777, 757, etc.); airports are specially certified for these types. Ladders, tugs, carriers, parking, refueling, etc. etc. Nobody will do this for a single copy, of course. Secondly, to operate any type - these are spare parts, logistics, repairs, trained for this type of equipment at different airports. It makes sense to "rivet" the same thing, and to unify it as much as possible. Therefore, the whole world flies on Airbus and Boeing. Thirdly, even if we do not present specifically "Mriya", but just a liner of this size .. Even the exploitation of the A380 shows that this size is already on the verge - larger and more capacious is simply not needed. There is no need to carry so many people on one plane at the same time. Here it becomes easier to put two smaller flights on the line at different times.
And the An-225, as Vyacheslav correctly said, is in a single copy. There is a blank for the second side, there is a fuselage and several elements, dating back to Soviet times (and 99.9% that it will never be completed).
